History with BALANCE
"I've been involved with BALANCE ever since attending one of the first-ever Demos by Carol Brett and Lesley Taylor-Brett in 1993. Since being hoisted onto a horse at age 5, I'd been searching for excellence and found it with them. Their knowledge, experience, love and respect for horses resonated deeply with me, I'd found “home”!
"After qualifying in 1995, I've had the great pleasure of helping riders in the UK, Europe, US and Australia to see and feel the difference a truly horse-friendly approach to saddle design and fit can make to movement, performance, health and attitude. I never get tired of seeing horses “suddenly” becoming more talented, with more beautiful, powerful, correct movement and a happier attitude to being ridden once they are in a saddle designed and fitted with their needs first.
"Over the years, I've been lucky enough to spend time training with the BALANCE Co-founders in Functional Riding & Training, together with Vreni Booth, Feldenkrais Teacher and Gavin Scofield, D.O. This has led me to an increased focus towards helping riders prioritise correct, balanced and engaged movement. BALANCE saddles invite horses into an engaged way of going, but the riding needs to support this invitation!"
"It was amazing the transformation in my horse's attitude when he was saddled with a BALANCE saddle, I noticed a huge difference even before I got on, I would hugely recommend everyone putting their horse's needs before their own, and seeing and feeling the difference for themselves."A.M.
“I cant thank you enough for today, your caring towards Maisie and your knowledge which has helped me understand further what direction I need to continue in... I haven't had anyone in years look at my riding and am pleased that although I need to continue getting fitter I still sit in balance an am working Maisie in the right manner for her rehabilitation." E.T.
Being able to move in a powerful, balanced and engaged way, without restriction or discomfort, is every horse’s birth-right and essential in order for him to be able to carry the unnatural weight of a rider, without doing harm to himself.
