Note from BALANCE. This was one of the original range of BALANCE saddles. Made by John Hamilton on a very good tree that has an open shape in the head and a slight flare in the head, which a lot of horses really like. It has had some work done on the flocking over its lifetime, so the panels may be slightly firmer than on a new saddle, but used with the appropriate pad system, could provide plenty more years of comfort for another horse. The tree that this saddle was built on always had more flex through the waist area than on current models of BALANCE saddle.
Being able to move in a powerful, balanced and engaged way, without restriction or discomfort, is every horse’s birth-right and essential in order for him to be able to carry the unnatural weight of a rider, without doing harm to himself.
