Saddling Services Offered
Heike is a trained and registered Saddling Consultant in Functional Saddling.
She helps horse owners and riders to understand what the horse needs from any saddle to move in comfort. She does not cover the whole of Germany, but please contact her for more information about how far she will travel from her base.
She has a selection of horse friendly saddles and pads for you and your horse to try so that you can discover for yourself, the difference that this alternative approach makes to the performance of the horse.
She can help you to order a new BALANCE saddle if you want one, or guide to to look for a good 2nd hand BALANCE Saddle.
If you already own a BALANCE saddle, Heike can offer saddle checks if you would like one.
History with BALANCE
"Ich habe eine Sattelodyssee hinter mir. Ich habe für meine junge Stute 4 Sättel gekauft, darunter 2 massangefertigte Sättel (ich meinte es besonders gut) - immer nach einem halben Jahr war mein Pferd lahm, egal unter welchem Sattel – sie lief immer ca. ein halbes Jahr unter einem neuen Sattel weil sich die Druckpunkte oder die Probleme eben verlagerten und dann war sie wieder lahm. Dann las eine Freundin im Mary Wanless Buch von den BALANCE Sätteln – ich schaute auf die Homepage von BALANCE – da war direkt am kommenden Wochenende ein BALANCE Sattel Seminar in Würzburg ausgeschrieben – ich habe alle meine Termine abgesagt und auf nach Würzburg. Und mir wurde einiges klar – erst theoretisch und dann sah ich in der Reithalle wie sich die Pferde direkt veränderten als ihr jetziger Sattel gegen einen BALANCE Sattel ausgetauscht wurde, wundervoll. Daraufhin bestellte ich meinen ersten BALANCE Sattel nach Anprobe und meine Stute hat seither keinen lahmen Tritt mehr gehabt – das war vor 7 Jahren ?
"Ich sehe und fühle viele Pferde beim Reitunterricht, Beritt und bei meinen energetischen Behandlungen – ich denke über 90 % der gesundheitlichen Probleme – egal welcher Art - würden nicht auftreten wenn die Pferde einen Sattel hätten unter dem sie sich frei bewegen könnten und richtig geritten würden – so wie es die Biomechanik und die Natur vorgeben. Viele Reiter bemühen sich um das „richtige“ Reiten - nur leider ist es den Pferden unter zu engen Sätteln nicht möglich ihren Körper so zu nutzen wie die Natur es vorsieht wenn er ein Gewicht trägt.

"I have a saddle odyssey behind me. I bought 4 saddles for my young mare , among them 2 made-to-measure saddles (I thought they would be particularly good) - and always after a half year she was lame, whichever saddle - she ran always approx. a half year under a new saddle because the pressure points and then she was lame again. Then a friend read in the Mary Wanless book 'For the Good of the Horse' about the BALANCE saddles. I looked on the homepage of BALANCE - there was a BALANCE saddle seminar in Wuaqerzburg the following weekend! I cancelled all of my appointments and went to Wuerzburg. Things became clear - first theoretically and then I saw in the riding arena how the horses directly changed as their current saddle was changed for a BALANCE saddle...wonderful. So I ordered my first BALANCE saddle. Since I have had it my mare has not been lame for a single day - that was 7 years ago.
"I see and feel many horses in my work both as a riding teacher and giving energetic therapy. I think over 90% of the health problems, whatever they are, are because many horses have a saddle under which they can´t move free and use their body as nature intended, when they have to carry a rider.
